Anuša Kodelja was a member of the Amateur Youth Theatre (AMO) in Nova Gorica for ten years before going to university (Timon of Athens, The Wizard of Oz). In 2015 she enrolled into the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (University of Ljubljana) where she graduated in 2019 in Maša Pelko’s OLYMPIA STADIUM (in the class of Sebastijan Horvat and Nataša Barbara Gračner). In 2020, she obtained her master’s degree from the same academy (mentor Boris Ostan).

 

She worked with several Slovenian theatres as a student, mostly with Ljubljana City Theatre (GLORIA, USE ME AND DISCARD ME) and Anton Podbevšek Teater (THE HOSTAGE, THE MASOCHIST).

After being a full time member of the SNT Nova Gorica ensemble between 2020 and 2022, Anuša decided to go independent in September last year. She combines assignments at home with working internationally (Istarsko narodno kazalište), as well as developing her own projects (NOT A GIRL, NOT YET A WOMAN…). 

 

While at university, she collaborated on many graduation films (NEUTUDU…), but her feature debut was Marko Šantić’s film TOGETHER. Soon after graduation she was cast as Tanja in the series OUR BRIDGES which ran for three seasons, and immediately afterward as Nina in BITCH, A DEROGATORY TERM FOR A WOMAN (dir. Tijana Zinajić), which won her a Vesna for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Festival of Slovenian Film. The film was presented at several important festivals (Sydney FF, Fest FF, Mostera Valencia,…). She has just concluded with shooting for Katja Predan's short film A LACK OF EVERYTHING and is now preparing for Urša Menart’s new feature film EVERYTHING THAT'S WRONG WITH YOU.
