Luna Pilić

Actress, Croatia

Born and raised in Split, Croatia. Spent three years at PlayDrama acting studio led by a Croatian actor, writer and theatre director Elvis Bošnjak, and, because of that experience, decided to become an actress.

Got a B.A. in Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, after which she moves to Belgrade to start her acting studies at the Academy of Arts. She is currently a fourth-year student, in the class of professors Iva Milošević and Bojan Žirović.

Her first major movie role was in ZAGREB EQUINOX, the first Croatian feature-length made on no budget (well, almost no budget – we collected about 1200 euros through crowdfunding, which we used for sandwiches for the crew). The film had its premiere at Pula Film Festival in 2015.

In her first year at the Academy, she landed the role of Bjanka in the fourth and final season of a popular Croatian TV drama series CRNO-BIJELI SVIJET, and in 2021 she had a main role in a film SVETA OBITELJ (The Holy Family), which is set to premiere this year.

Currently, she is filming a zombie comedy ŠALŠA on the island of Šolta, which is a regional co-production.

She played Masha in a contemporary theatre rendition of Anton Chekhov's THE SEAGULL at Dorćol National Theatre in Belgrade.

Alongside her studies, she teaches at TKD (Theatre of Comedy and Drama), an acting studio in Belgrade. In her free time she does yoga, and is currently reading The Brothers Karamazov for the first time.
