Dubravka Turić

Dubravka Turić is a director, screenwriter and editor. She graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art at Zagreb University, Croatia. 
 

After a successful career of film editor, she wrote and directed her first short film BELLADONNA. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival 2015, winning the Orizzonti Award for Best Short Film. It was also in the official selection of Sundance, Rotterdam and many other festivals. Her second short film CHERRIES (Trešnje) was premiered at Directors' Fortnight at Cannes 2017, after which it toured on festivals around the world, winning many awards. TINA, her third short, started its festival distribution after regional premiere at Sarajevo Film Festival 2019. 


Dubravka has just completed her first feature film TRACES (Tragovi). The film premiered at Warsaw Film Festival 2022, and was in the official selection of Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival 2022. It is still in festival distribution and already won several awards. Currently, Dubravka is developing scripts for her second feature film and a TV series RUMPUS, which has won the Best Series Project Award of the CineLink Drama at Sarajevo Film Festival 2022.
 

Dubravka has also edited more then thirty fiction, animated and experimantal films, and worked as an screenwriter on many projects. She is a member of Croatian Freelance Artists' Association and The Film Artists' Association of Croatia.
