Zorica Nusheva is a Macedonian actress. She was born and raised in a small town in the Eastern part of North Macedonia, where she displayed an inclination towards the arts since she was 9 years old. She graduated acting at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje, in 2008.

 

Zorica has played over 20 leading roles in different plays in theater and has won Best Actress award at the most renowned theater festival in Macedonia. She is permanent member of the National theater of Comedy- Skopje, since 2011.

Zorica makes her film debut as a lead in Teona Mitevska’s satirical drama GOD EXISTS, HER NAME IS PETRUNYA, which was part of the Berlin International Film Festival- main competition program in 2019. This got her nomination for silver bear and won her nine international awards for Best Actress at film festivals including Seville Film Festival – Spain 2019; Mostar Film Festival – Bosnia and Herzegovina 2019; FIFFS - Festival International du Film De Femmes de Sale  – Morocco 2019; East and west, classics and avant-garde, International Film Festival – Orenburg, Russia 2019; DEA open air International Film Festival – Tirana, Albania 2019; LIFFE- Serbia 2019; Yakutsk International Film Festival – Russia 2020…
